CrewTracks Featured in Masonry Magazine

CrewTracks Featured in Masonry Magazine

The October issue of Masonry includes an article entitled “Team Tracking Apps: TSheets and CrewTracks.”  You can read the article online here.  The response from this coverage by Masonry magazine has been exciting.  Since most our customers are builders, excavators, pavers, or civil contractors, we’re thrilled that word is getting out: CrewTracks is a great fit for masonry companies as well.  The timing of Masonry‘s coverage (and our ad in the same magazine) is not a coincidence.  We have recently rolled out two new features specifically designed for masonry companies, and the masonry industry is responding in a big way.

CrewTracks Features Designed for Masonry

We are always improving CrewTracks based on customer feedback, and feedback from our masonry customers has driven some of our recent innovation.  Specifically, these features have been added to CrewTracks to accommodate the needs of masonry companies: the optional time clock and a crew efficiency report.

Optional Time Clock

Just today I had another conversation with a masonry contractor that went something like this:

Him: “So, my crew lead clocks each guy in by taking his picture?”
Me: “Yup, and there’s a GPS stamp so you know they are in right place at the right time.”
Him: “Honestly, I’d rather just call it 8 hours a day to keep the union happy.”
Me: “No problem.  We can disable the timeclock altogether, and your crew leads can just allocate time to the tasks each person worked on that day until the total is 8 hours.”

Boom.  Easy.  We’ve found that, with greater frequency than our other customers, masonry companies just want to allocate time without clocking people in and out.  So CrewTracks, which once upon a time was primarily a time clock app, can now be used with the time clock disabled.

New Efficiency Reports

CrewTracks already had a visually digestible job efficiency report, but it couldn’t be exported as a spreadsheet.  Similarly, CrewTracks already had job time and production exports, but it took some Excel wizardry to combine the two into a cohesive representation of crew efficiency.  Good news: no more wizard skills required.  CrewTracks can now export Job Efficiency and Crew Efficiency.

Job Efficiency (totals for all employees):

We are excited to have so many Masonry companies coming onboard, and hope you can make good use of the features we’ve added!  Of course, if you need a hand, give us a call any time.
